Six Awesome Food Events in Dallas This New Year's Eve (and Day!)

Put away your pleather pants and forget about the DJ: this year, everyone who's anyone will be ringing in the New Year with a little lederhosen and a whole lot of rotkraut. Bavarian Grill in Plano will have two seatings, each of which will feature a prix fixe menu of German food that's smack yo' mutter good. It's $20.15 a seat, including a Champagne toast. Say goodbye to 2014 in true culinary style at Kitchen LTO. The four-course menu, which includes a glass of Champagne, starts off with options like steak tartare deviled eggs or kampachi, grapefruit and spicy microgreens. Entrees include roasted duck breast, duck fat hash, beef tenderloin and lobster and white cheddar casserole. The cost is $99 per person and you can also look forward to live music by Lounge Noir featuring Clate Bowen.

Boulevardier will offer a four-course menu befitting their reputation as a French-inspired bistro. Highlights from the menu include wild mushroom bisque, torchon of foie gras and 60 day dry-aged New York strip with sauce Bordelaise. And for dessert? What better way to ring in the New Year than by stepping back in time? LARK on the Park is throwing a 1950s, Old Hollywood-style soiree. Not to worry, there won't be any polio or Jello salads here -- just delicious vintage dishes like shrimp Louie and duck a l'orange. The three-course dinner at 5 p.m. is $85, while the 6:30 and 9 p.m. seatings feature four courses and cost $90. Tickets can be purchased in advance at 214.855.5275.

Soak up all that Champagne with a four course breakfast at SER, which will be served at 1 a.m. The menu consists of Belgian waffles, Japanese omelets, house-made tots loaded with caviar and blue crab cakes. Are caviar tots the best or worst food decision you will make in the New Year? Time will only tell. Breakfast is $65 per person.

American Food and Beverage will feature their weekend brunch menu on New Year's day. Menu items include french toast made with seasonal fruit, hazelnuts and crème fraiche and the American Breakfast, which consists of scrambled farm eggs, house-made bacon, home fries and biscuits + gravy. Get the latter with a side of extra + gravy, because you need to show your arteries who's boss in 2015.
