Start Restaurant at 4814 Greenville, neighbor to Desporados Mexican Restaurant, is a new upscale fast-casual restaurant set to open the first week of August.

The concept is healthy food, made with pure ingredients, quickly. So you can hit the drive- thru, and feel good about it afterwards.

Some menu items include from-scratch Mediterranean salad with quinoa; applewood smoked bacon grass-fed beef burger on a toasted wheat or gluten free bun; organic egg whites for breakfast served over vegetables on a toasted whole wheat English muffin. Almost every ingredient has "organic" or the like attached to it.

All washed down with organic beer or fair trade coffee (inside only, of course). They also have fresh juices, like a Tomato Kick Start and Go Go Juice made with spinach, carrot, apple and ginger.

Vendors include Burgundy Pastures, the North Dallas Honey Company, Stonyfield Organic, Applegate Farms, Organic Valley, and Food for Life, maker of Ezekiel sprouted grain bread.

We'll keep you posted on the opening.
