Tootie Pie opened a new café in Allen last week. Which made me think, what's up with the location at Preston and Royal? It's still an empty shell.

Randy Graybill, business development director at Tootie Pie Inc. down in Boerne, says they're still trying to work out some issues with the landlords and it's basically just on hold now. Dang. C'mon Tootie Pie! Quit teasing us.

Until then, a Tootie Pie Gourmet Café can be found at 190 Stacy Road in the Village at Allen Shopping Center, where they have more than dozen different types of pie, either by the slice or whole. There's also sandwiches, soups, salads and such. Light stuff so you can save room for pie.

They also sell their pies in Central Markets (and sometimes have the best demo samples ever).
