Untapped Festival Announces Fort Worth Date for this Spring
Last year when the folks at the Common Table had an idea for a little craft beer block party in front of their Uptown restaurant, they probably didn't realize they were creating a monster. A really loveable and wonderful monster like Mr. Snuffleupagus, though. Interest in the craft beer event grew so quickly, they moved it to an entire block in Trinity Groves. It sold out and on the day of, a line of ticketless beer enthusiasts snaked down the road, while inside attendees patiently waited in, many cases, long lines for a sample of beer from brewers from around North Texas. A good time was certainly had.
Now the event has expanded to Fort Worth. On April 20, Spune will host Untapped Fort Worth at the Panther Island Pavilion. Justin Townes Earle, Deer Tick, Sarah Jaffe and Tennis will all be there, plus some additional Fort Worth bands, which will be announced later.
Details about the event from a press release:
"At its origin, Untapped was designed by its organizers as an event equally focused on quality music and beer, a balance rarely found at beer festivals and certainly uncommon for a music festival. The aim was not about the quantity of selection, but rather the curating of the best in both craft beer and emerging local and national bands. The addition of local artisans and food trucks added further texture to last year's event, a focus organizers hope will continue to expand in ways that resonate with each community."
Pre-sale tickets, which are 15% off, are on sale through tomorrow, Thursday, February 7. VIP tickets are $50 (which includes early entry), concert and beer tickets are $25 and a solo concert ticket is $19.
