Yes, yes, Uchi is mentioned, and rightfully so. The Austin based sushi restaurant served me up one of my most memorable meals this year. But I'm really happy to see Yutaka mentioned. I think the small strip-mall sushi restaurant is definitely one of the best places for sushi in Dallas.

I love Yutaka's tiny and busy dining room. And a wait for a seat at the bar is never a bother since I simply spend my time nibbling on salty, grilled meats at Sharaku, the izakaya run by the same owners next door.

Meanwhile, Tei-An is the only sushi restaurant in Dallas to earn a coveted five-star review from The Dallas Morning News. And Teppo and Tei Tei Robata Bar both have excellent sushi options as well. Whether or not you agree that Yutaka belongs on a list of 21 of the best sushi restaurants in the country, I think we can all agree that we're lucky to have a really good sushi scene in Dallas.
