On Wednesday, 25-year-old Adam Williamson, who became quadriplegic in a 2006 dirt bike accident, got a second Crystalens implant so he doesn't have to use glasses or contacts. The $10,000 surgery - usually performed on elderly cataract patients and - was donated by Bausch&Lomb and the Key Whitman Center on Lemmon Avenue as part of a national program called Focus on Independence, which provides victims of spinal cord injury with vision operations.
