Groups of dancers young and seasoned came out to show their moves at this year’s 6th Annual Dallas Hip Hop Dance Festival Convention this past Friday at the Magnolia Hotel. Over 20 registered competitors to compete in both a general dance off, as well as a one versus one bracket competition. Those in the general dance off embraced the spirit of Popping and Krumping by forming a tight circle around the dance floor for observers to peer into. For those in the bracket competition, rivalry was high, with individuals having to show both styles of dance to the eager crowd. Banter was in no short supply, and with only one winner in each category, everyone showed their best moves. All photos by Kathy Tran.
