Nerds Make Cool Robots at VEX Robotics Championship

The VEX Robotics World Championships began yesterday at the Dallas Convention Center. Hundreds of teams of high school students have come together this weekend from all over the world. Teams were given the challenge of producing a robot that could throw balls, points were awarded to robots for the amount of balls thrown in a given time period. The event's Exhibit section had toys including an automatic robotic Nerf gun and a "life" sized, moving, talking R2D2.Photos by Spike Johnson.
