Once owned by Howard Hughes, Texas Theater is also noteworthy for having been the scene where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the 1963 assassination of Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit and President John F. Kennedy.

Texas Theater in Oak Cliff hosted the Second Annual Dallas Burlesque Festival on Friday and Saturday night, Feb. 5-6. The temperature outside may have dipped into the 40s, but the air in Texas Theater was thick and sultry as burlesque dancers enslaved their audience.
