The Chinese Lantern Festival makes its Southwest debut this year at the Lagoon at Fair Park during the State Fair of Texas. There will be an "110-yard-long, larger-than-life dragon made from 15,000 porcelain dishes tied together by hand," among other massive lanterns, emblazoning the night sky like a Katy Perry song you can't get out of your head. It also includes live performances and a marketplace with handcrafted "Old World" goods.
