I admire them protesting, but this Proposition is not on the ballot for Texas.

If I wanted to marry someone bad enough and my state didn't allow it, I would go to that state and get it done, that's how you protest.

I don't agree necessarily that they shouldnt be allowed to marry, but it's not even on the ballot here.

I think it's about showing solidarity. I'm sure these guys realize Prop 8 is not in Texas.

My partner of 24 years and I got married in San Francisco's beautiful City Hall on September 16, 2008 in the company of friends and family. We are one of the 18,000 couples who remain legally married in California, even though we live in Dallas. Both my spouse and I are convinced that America is a country of laws and that soon it will come to understand and accept that equal rights is EVERY citizen's right.

That my rights (and so many others') were put up to a popular vote is so ridiculous as to be beyond understanding or acceptance. But we, gay and lesbian people, will prevail.
