The Creative Arts Theater and School (CATS) in Arlington, which puts on productions using all-kid casts and crews, presents a show for the whole family. Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf is a madcap adventure based on two stories everyone knows--The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood--and features three pigs, a Canadian woodsman and Cornelius B.B. Wolf searching for something to eat and blowing things down all the way. I think it makes perfect sense to do this--considering what may or may not be the same guy in two separate tales, why not explore his character doing it all at once? An innovative take on the all-too-familiar, this play should have everyone looking at traditions in a brand-new light. The old and outmoded is new again! Also, this show is a total bargain at just $6 a pop. Shows are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, August 7, with an additional 7 p.m. performance August 7.
