The call of the wild beckons all you camouflage-wearing jungle lovers out there to run on over to this year’s Dallas Safari Club Convention and Expo: Out of the Wild. This event is the largest annual fundraiser for the Dallas Safari Club, an organization that supports conservation, education and hunter advocacy. The expo consists of sporting attractions, presentations and 800 exhibits from outfitters and hunters from around the world. Meet outdoor industry professionals including artists, jewelers, clothiers, furriers and gear companies. Admission into the convention includes seminars on various topics including African photography, first-time safaris, North Texas water conservation and hunting in Alaska, Canada and other places. Out of the Wild will also help raise funds for wildlife conservation and the Dallas Ecological Foundation’s educational programs. The expo takes place January 5-8 at the Dallas Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. Tickets are $20 dollars. For more information call 972-980-9800 or visit biggame.org.
Thursdays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: Jan. 5. Continues through Jan. 8, 2012
