The cult (and pothead) classic Reefer Madness (1936) was originally titled Tell Your Children, but definitely do not tell your children to attend Ohlook Performing Arts Center's musical production of the tragic tale. The show includes adult humor, religious parody, drug use, suggested violence, sexual explicitness and more, so, yes, it's a bonanza of fun for you and your fellow marijuana enthusiasts, but leave the kiddies at home. But, what if you're not a marijuana enthusiast, you ask? What if, in fact, you pass on grass all the time and do not approve of getting what Urban Dictionary would refer to as "fizzlefazzled"? Don't worry. The show also features the big J.C. leading a chorus of showgirls in a musical number. Ergo, it's got something for everybody. Don't miss this musical version of the original in-depth look at the hysteria and chaos that result from toking up, and just remember: It could happen to you. Performances are BYOB and run through July 17 at Ohlook's Black Box Theatre, 316 S. Barton St. in Grapevine, with showtimes at 10:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or by visiting the Ohlook box office. For tickets and more information, visit ohlookperform.com.
