Being nervous about sketch comedy is natural. One bad experience and you're convinced the medium disagrees with you. Like that time you drank all of the melon-flavored whiskey and said, "Nope. Never again."

But maybe you just drank the wrong shit, right? Nobody should drink melon-flavored whiskey, especially when the real stuff is so delicious.

On Saturday, Austin sketch troupe STAG! Comedy performs at the Dallas Comedy House and they're worthy of facetime.

The group will do live bits at this Dallas gig, but their larger hometown revues use a combo-punch of 3D material and video work.

To woo you into buying a ticket for the 7:30 p.m. show, I've compiled a list of my five favorite STAG! videos. Full disclosure: I know most of these folks. More full disclosure: Wouldn't you want to? They're hilarious humans.

Tickets cost $10 to $12 for this 7:30 p.m. show. Get 'em here.

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
