Girls Girls Guns

Dallas artist Cathey Miller says she's painted on a variety of surfaces, including naked ladies. Unfortunately, no babes in the buff will be included in Miller's Trigger Happy, an exhibition featuring vintage Hollywood starlets packing heat. However, you'll come face to face with a crazy-eyed Jane Russell armed with a pair of six shooters. Bold letters declare: DANCE. If a manic sex symbol wielding a weapon asked me to dance, you can bet I'd be two-stepping for my life. Instead, Miller asks, "What would happen if I disobey Jane Russell?" One thinks Miller might almost like to find out. Trigger Happy runs through June 30 at the Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave. The gallery is open and free to the public during regular hours.
