Goggle and Spit

For a combination dental practice/art gallery on Hibernia Street, the name "Hibernia Dental Arts" is undeniably accurate, but it's not very reassuring. I prefer exact measurement over artistic license whenever nerves and drill bits occupy the same space. "Dental arts" makes it sound like dental school had a quidditch team, but original modern art on the walls does make a nice change from the standard kitten-on-a-branch "Hang in There!" poster in the waiting room. Non-dental artists Jerrel Sustaita and Tatyana Uspenskay open their show with a reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Hibernia Dental Arts, 2701 Hibernia St. in Uptown. Call 214-206-4553.
Fri., June 9, 6-9 p.m.
