If your kids request one million Popsicle sticks and a few thousand feet of PVC pipe, don’t freak out. They’re just addicted to the Disney Channel’s latest series, or “kid crack” as it’s commonly known on the streets. The kids, and their geeky parents, are all hooked on Phineas and Ferb, an animated show that chronicles two brothers’ summer adventures. Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher don’t want to do boring summer vacation stuff like go to the pool or play with marbles, so they create elaborate projects, including a snowstorm and a giant roller coaster, to occupy their time. And since every brother has an annoying sister, the boys must conceal their adventures from their sister Candace, who wants to rat them out to Mom. Plus, Perry, their pet platypus, is a secret agent trying to thwart the plans of a mad doctor. Phineas and Ferb certainly have a busy summer, and now they’re coming to share their tales and meet fans of the show. Disney’s Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever! features the whole cast and the boys’ newest invention, plus music and, yes, that annoying sister. The tour heads to the Garland Special Events Center, 4999 Naaman Forest Blvd., for two shows at 2 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $25 to $55. Visit phineasandferblive.com.
Sun., Jan. 1, 2 & 5 p.m., 2012
