Welcome to another edition of Geek-Offs, where you'll find the perfect distractions to help you muddle your way through hump day each week.
With the cool weather creeping in, we're getting a little twitchy in our seats. Unfortunately, being stuck at our desks all day means we need a virtual escape, and that's just what we've been exploring today with this week's Geek-Offs pick, Super Springbreak Speedboat Hero SD.
Yes, it's another "hero" game, but c'mon, that just proves there's goodness inside. Take a spastic trip around the water course, but be sure to avoid the sharks ... and dinosaurs ... and ... gorillas.

In the beta release of Super Springbreak Speedboat Hero SD, by PLA Studios, you have two options -- Quick Race or build your own track. Quick Race lets you jump right in to the action with an automatically generated track (great for a practice run), but we recommend you take an extra minute to build your own track.
In the track editor, you can design your track with all of the appropriate straightaways, turns and jumps that your heart desires, but you also get to add fun features like the aforementioned sharks and dinosaurs, as well as things like spikes, to make the game even more challenging (read: entertaining).
An added perk: You can share your time and track on Twitter and Facebook, and then challenge your friends and family to beat your times on your own tracks. As if that's even possible.
