This weekend, all six Market Street stores in the DFW area will take guests on a cowboy-style cattle drive of the taste buds, with stops to try food and Texas-grown produce during its Best of Texas Expo. The expo will feature a variety of meats from across the state, sauces made with uniquely Texan ingredients, and locally grown fruits and vegetables. Farmers, cowboys and store keepers will be there to offer you free samples of these homegrown and home-cooked Texas foods. It all goes down 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visit marketstreetunited.com for locations and more information.

KEEP THE DALLAS OBSERVER FREE... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
