Hopefully, You Won’t Need a Ring of Fire

All hail this hot-as-shit state called Texas. The upside of one million 100-plus-degree days is the sweet jeggings weather we get clear through fall. (Just as soon as I say that, we’ll have an ice storm with sleet and a chance of frozen solid.) But let’s go back to that magical pretend place where you can snuggle up next to your cuddle buddy, share some spiced cider and watch Walk the Line outdoors at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Doesn’t that sound like an enchanted evening? Oh, did we mention it’s a Sunset Screening and Sunset Screenings are free? OK, the concessions stands are decidedly not free, but come on. It’s concessions. The screenings also offer reserved seating for 500 guests and picnic-style lawn seating for the rest of you slowpokes. To reserve your proper seat, RSVP at attpac.org. And if Walk the Line isn’t really your cup of tea dressed in black, no big. There’s a different film the third Saturday of every month, so mark your calendar with a recurring event or better yet have Siri do it.
