As our calendars creep closer and closer to summer in North Texas, it’s time to adjust our activities accordingly. The outside becomes a distant memory as the dang mercury begins its ascent. So while it may be too late to (comfortably) go camping, it’s never too hot for high camp, babies. Dallas Summer Musicals ushers in the heat with this super cool touring production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at The Music Hall at Fair Park, 909 1st Ave., at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Sizzling pop performances and seriously dazzling costumes punctuate this beloved tale of a group of drag queens headed to a performance at a remote Australian resort town. Visit dallassummermusicals.org for tickets, starting at $20. Ah, but your summer night doesn’t have to end there: Join the cast of the raucous musical after the show at Luxx Night Club, 723 N. Pearl St., for the official afterparty. This excursion features nothing but disco, glitter and dancing ... no mosquito netting necessary. Take your ticket stub from the show for free valet, a complimentary cocktail and access to the stars of the show. Admission is free for everyone 21 and up.
