It's Only Natural

It's time for a change, people. A change in documentation. Go with me on this. It's time to pull those lips in, draw the arms down, turn the wrist and point the cameras away from ourselves. You with me?! We can do this. I know Facebook and Twitter make it so hard sometimes, but, my friends, there's nature out there just begging to be photographed. And, better yet, there's a contest to be won with those new non-self-involved shots. Categories for the annual Heard Photography Contest include wild nature, shared world, creative interpretation and nature experiences had at the Heard. Also note that mailed entries must be received between Monday and February 13, and in-person submissions on February 6 (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), February 7 (1 to 4 p.m.) and February 13 (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). Place and category awards, as well as prizes, will be given, and featured photos will be showcased at the Heard from February 28 through March 30. So, bail on the webcam angles and get to snappin'. Visit for details on submission fees, registration forms and more.
