Kate Verses The World

Many people claim to be poets. Relatively few are. But that's OK. Good poetry is subjective. Kate Greenstreet is the real deal. No "cat...rat...mat" simplicity here; she actually weaves narrative, mystery and characters into her works. Greenstreet reads from selected works at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jonsson Performance Hall at the University of Texas at Dallas, 800 W. Campbell Road in Richardson. Admission is free. Call 972-883-ARTS or visit ah.utdallas.edu/events. Learn more about Greenstreet at kickingwind.com.

KEEP THE DALLAS OBSERVER FREE... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
