Kind Threads

Visualize the inside of any of the following stores: Abercrombie and Fitch, American Apparel, Forever 21, Madewell, Urban Outfitters. Imagine the merchandise and the salespeople. Realize that you're probably better at this visualization than if we'd asked you to describe the inside of a soup kitchen you frequent, the church you attend, or the local YMCA volunteer center where you're helping inner-city kids every day after school. But hey, we don't want to rag on you too hard—it's not like we know what the inside of a Boys and Girls Club looks like, either. So blessed is the opportunity to do good through Bend Studio's Intimate Evening Fashion Show, in conjunction with American Apparel this Saturday at Rock House Films, 3006 Cole Ave. Tickets are $20 to $50, sold as donations to the Anju Gill Artists Fund benefitting Texas musicians. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Call 214-606-0770 or visit
Sat., May 19, 7:30 p.m.
