Kitty Babysitter

Let’s see. By now, school will have been out for about a week. Yep, that’s just about enough time for loving parents everywhere to start asking themselves the annual summertime question: “How can I get these annoying, screaming little savages out of the goddamn house before I go crazy!?” Can’t afford camp? Then head over to Studio Movie Grill, 11170 N Central Expressway, for the theater’s Children’s Summer Series. At 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, the movie house offers kid-friendly flicks at the low, low price of $2 for adults and $1 for children age 10 and younger. That means for a buck, a smart stay-at-home parent can ditch the kid for 90 minutes or so and sneak off for a brunch of many, many mimosas. No? OK, then, Mr. or Mrs. Responsible, then you can stick around and watch Puss in Boots with your brat and take comfort in knowing the movie is clever enough to keep your kid quiet for awhile and maybe entertain you too. For info about upcoming films in the series, visit studiomoviegrill.com.
