Love and Dancing Gangs Conquer All

Oh, love at first sight. Girl meets boy and boy falls for girl. They gaze longingly at one another from across the room and, well, the rest is mushy history. Ah, if only it were that simple in Dallas Summer Musical's presentation of the Tony award-winning West Side Story. The play takes place in the 1950s and tells the tale of two teenage street gangs: the Anglo Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. You know the story: All hell breaks loose when Tony, a tall, handsome member of the Jets, falls in love with Maria, the dark-haired beauty and sister of the Sharks' head honcho, Bernardo. Will love conquer all? We think you know the answer. See West Side Story through October 23 at Music Hall at Fair Park. Tickets are $25 to $90 at Tickets to the musical provide holders with admission to the State Fair of Texas for the day of the show.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m.; Thu., Oct. 13, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 4. Continues through Oct. 23, 2011
