In a perfect world this would happen every day: You wake up, stretch, tug your shoes on and then get irrationally excited because you're about to throw hundreds of pies in other people's faces. It would solve socioeconomic division, crime rates would plummet and war would be nothing that a little whipped topping couldn't cure. But days like that are rare: once in a lifetime variety situations. And today, good people of earth, is your day. Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus begin Dallas performances tomorrow, but not before they achieve the seemingly impossible: breaking the world record for most shaving cream pies thrown. This is the real deal involving two local clowning groups, Barnum & Bailey, the Guinness Book of World Records and you, the public. Ages 12 and up may learn immersion slap stick today when pies get thrown, en mass. (Goggles are provided.) Check in is at 6 p.m., and super happy pie smash time is at 7:30 p.m. You need to register in advance, so visit ringlingpiefight.com. It's free.
