Put a Face And Name With The Vibrator Jokes

Popping in for a show at Dallas Comedy House already feels like an intimate experience. The charmingly minimal interior doesn’t allow for a bunch of fuss, and why should it? You’re there to fucking laugh. To laugh until you question if that fourth (fifth?) Bombshell Blonde was such a good idea. Thursday’s 9:30 p.m. show feels even closer knit — almost like a family gathering. Well, if you could hand-select your kin. Local comedian Chelsea Hood has snatched up the hour-longish timeslot and filled it with her friends: local stand-up comics who are down for anything. The showcase is fleeting, and tonight is your last chance to catch the series before its August run expires, so get your ass over there. It’s also refreshing, because you’ll go into the evening knowing that you’ll see comedy from Christian Hughes, Eric Krug, Byron Stamps, Spencer Harlan and Hood, and if you like ’em (of course you will) you can become a fan of theirs and creepily e-stalk them when you get home. I mean, become a fan. Tickets are $10, and the Dallas Comedy House is located at 2645 Commerce St. Visit dallascomedyhouse.com.
