Queen of Hearts

In some ways, ladies these days have become expert worriers. We're awesome at worrying about horizontal stripes and our skin and dark parking garages. But for some reason, we often forget to worry about the most worrisome thing of all: heart disease, which is the number one killer of American women. That's why the National Heart Lung & Blood Institute is bringing the Heart Truth Road Show on a national tour, and it's coming to Irving Mall, 3880 Irving Mall, this weekend. They'll be offering free heart health screenings, and you can also see the Red Dress Collection, which features gowns worn on the red carpet by Heidi Klum and others. The event is free and takes place 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the mall's Center Court. For more information, visit www.nhlbi.nih.gov.
Fri., April 18, 3-9 p.m.; Sat., April 19, 12-6 p.m.; Sun., April 20, 12-6 p.m., 2008
