Quick, Get The Gong

The comedy and variety show genre is alive and well in Dallas thanks to two awesome entertainers, Ricki Derek and Nick Gibbons. Known for their forays in Rat Pack reinvention and Adult Swim entertainment, the two are bringing it together once again for a special Halloween-themed performance that surely won’t disappoint, Ricki Derek’s Very Halloweenie Night Oh Cabaret. This weekend, the music and comedy variety show hits the Texas Theatre’s historic stage (231 W. Jefferson Blvd.) for a night of adult vaudeville, including live music and performances by the likes of Derek, Gibbons, Paul the Amazing, Mikey Dino, Tommy Diamond, Dr. Suffolk, Fanny, “Viva Le Hoola” and special celebrity guest Liz Mikel. Celebrate Halloween a little bit early and catch a night of tricks and treats from Ricki Derek and company at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets range $15 to $20.
