Actually, they say that nothing chafes like bare butt on a glitter vinyl banana seat, so we don't understand why the Peppers would want to hold a bike rally in the middle of August...OK, so the Calumet Center's Red Hot Chili Pepper Bike Rally doesn’t have anything to do with "Californication" or doing drugs under a bridge, but it will offer 20-, 40- and 60-mile bike routes beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 321A Calumet Ave. Pre-registration is $25.
