As many good memories as I have from days-long road trips through the middle of nowhere, I have hardly any photos to remember the scenery by. When I'm driving, the stops are limited to the kind of place where you can buy a Coke and a ceramic eagle mounted on a souvenir crystal. Photographer Rhondal McKinney, whose landscapes hang through February 13 at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery, 1202 Dragon St., Suite 103, has no problem stopping for scenery. Raised in Illinois watching farmland from the passenger seat, he's got a keen eye for the patterns, textures and shades made where people work on the land. Stare into these ultra-sharp contact prints for a while, and you'll wish you spent more time on the shoulder of the highway. For more info, call 214-969-1852 or visit pndbgallery.com.
