Rules Of Intrigue

Joe Pike doesn't dick around. He's a mercenary and a badass, and he's seemingly got no qualms about his intense line of work...until his friend, another former mercenary, and his whole family are murdered by Eastern European mobsters. So, just as Pike must learn the ways of said Eastern Euro-mob in order to avenge the killing, so must author Robert Crais relearn the ins and outs of the winter book-signing tour as he appears at Borders, Preston Road at Royal Lane, to sign The First Rule at 7 p.m. Monday. Probably won't be hard as he's written best sellers for years--such as the novel-turned-Bruce-Willis-vehicle Hostage--and has been nominated for every crime-writing award (winning several along the way). Call 214-363-1977 for store-specific details on the event. Visit for more author information.
