So, you feel bad for the pounds of food you stuffed down during Thanksgiving, and you know it's just the beginning since Christmas is literally days away. The gym can be so un-motivating, and the weather begs you to hibernate. There's always a way around boring workouts, and alternate activities abound during the holidays. How about a 5K race? OK, too much? How about a mile? The 2009 Dallas Jingle Bell Run offers both, and the pups are invited too. The race benefits the Trinity Strand Trail and the Mavs Foundation. Afterward, visit Santa and eat some food at the post-race party. The Jingle Bell Run starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hilton Anatole located at 2001 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas. Registration fees range from $15 to $30, and children younger than 5 are free. Registration packets can be picked up at Luke's Locker at 3607 Oak Lawn Ave. until Monday. Online registration ends at midnight on Sunday. For additional information, go to trinitystrand.org or call 214-658-7160.
