Shopping Is Sew Fun

Grab a creative date, because the third annual Spring Bash, an arts and crafts extravaganza, is taking a fresh approach with an all-American homecoming/prom theme. The fair boasts a wide range of handmade goodies from jewelry to home decor to apparel and art, and features 60 different hand-selected artists. The bash is free to the public, and is family and pet-friendly. But while the main focus is arts and crafts, it's not just for those looking to purchase a craft or two: This is not your average arts and crafts fair, as there will be a full bar courtesy of the Absinthe Bar & Lounge, a photo booth and tunes complimentary of DJ Wild In The Streets. The Spring Bash takes place at South Side on Lamar, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Make sure to arrive early as the first 50 people receive Bash bags, filled to the brim with treats.
