Sweet And Sour

Deep Ellum's tunnels used to be the place to go to see breathtaking graffiti--not the hastily sprayed tags and four-letter words scrawled throughout the rest of downtown, but real spray-paint art. But maybe the new home of art graffiti is Oak Cliff. The crew to watch is Sour Grapes, a collective of artists, designers, printmakers and photographers who create vibrant, colorful street and studio art that represents the South Dallas experience. It's no surprise to find these outside-the-box artists exhibiting at We Are 1976, a gallery/store/workshop space that's dedicated to brilliant art and design. Sour Grapes will be debuting new works at We Are 1976's first ever graffiti exhibit at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Enjoy the fresh art, a graffiti demo and snacks and drinks at 1902 N. Henderson Ave. Call 214-821-1976 or visit weare1976.com.
