Taste Some Prime Comedy

Named after a slice of meat found on a cow’s hindquarters, The Tenderloins thrive on self-deprecating punch lines. With sketches like “The Comedy Roast of Jesus Christ” and “The Slutty Mermaid,” this comedy troupe earned viral appeal on Internet sites like YouTube and Myspace. What started as four best friends dicking around in New York City and telling jokes onstage at crowded bars eventually led to the comedy competition It’s Your Show, hosted by Carson Daly. After they won that contest, The Tenderloins landed a hit show on truTV, Impractical Jokers, which is a funny, less dangerous version of Jackass. At 8 p.m. Friday, the guys bring their shenanigans to the Majestic Theater (1925 Elm St.). Only two single tickets were still available via Ticketmaster at press time, so you’ll have to get creative if you want to catch the show.
