If one of your New Year's resolutions this year is to be more a more charitable member of the community, then the 2nd annual Soup's On! event is here to give you a jump start. 2010's Soup's On! luncheon will fill your stomach and your heart, both while benefiting The Stewpot, a Dallas area community ministries program. On hand will be the talented chefs from local dining faves Chef Chair Brian Luscher (The Grape), Chef Jim Severson (Sevy's), Chef Keith Hanks (The Capital Grille), Chef Joel Harloff (Dali Cellar and Wine Bar), Chef David McMillan (MCM Restaurants), Chef Kevin Garvin (Neiman Marcus Restaurants), Chef Abraham Salum (Salum) and Chef Marc Cassel (Park). Each chef will serve their signature soup during a silent auction featuring works from The Stewpot's art program, which have been on display at David Duke Fine Art. And just in case you can't get your hands on one of the fine paintings or other hand made items available for auction, each guest will receive a special soup bowl, hand-painted by the kids from The Stewpot's Saturday School program. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Union Station, 400 S. Houston St. Tickets are $150 to $250. Call 214-402-7148 or visit thestewpot.org.
