If you've noticed that your cross fit center has been overrun lately, it isn't due to swimsuit season. Dallas' most fashionable shoppers are to blame; they've gone into heavy training for this weekend's F.I.G. Shopping Finale Sale, a two-day affair in the Design District that resembles a museum filled with trunk shows. National brands like Seven for All Mankind and Missoni and locals like Cotton Island and Julep will be there, with clothing and accessories clearanced up to 75% off.

Replacing your tattered goods with lovely, inexpensive new ones is going to get competitive. You might want to wear a mouth guard. You don't want to pay the ticket price though, and that's why you're going to enter this giveaway. We've got TWO PAIRS of passes, so you and a pal can tackle the labyrinth of bargains as a power team. Just email me at Jamie.Laughlin@dallasobserver.com with the subject line "I love bargains." I'll pick the winners randomly and we'll shut this contest down at 5 p.m. on Thursday

(Tickets for Friday or Saturday cost $15 per person and weekend passes cost $20 so if you don't win, buy them here. There's also a VIP first look shopping event on Thursday, but those will run you $50.)

Keep the Dallas Observer Free... Since we started the Dallas Observer, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Dallas with no paywalls.
