Invasive searches by airport security, long lines at customs, hassles with exchanging currency — seriously, is being enriched by visiting foreign lands really worth all the hassles? Just stay home and let the world come to you at the DFW International Community Alliance’s DFW International Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The festival is free and takes place down Flora Street (in between Pearl Street and the AT&T Performing Arts Center) in the Arts District. Enjoy music and dance performances from more than 25 countries across four separate stages, including some from Watusi (Jamaica, Trinidad, Brazil and Africa), Veselka (Ukraine), SWEA Swedish Choir (Sweden) and others. Then, check out the multicultural marketplace and — what might be the best part — a food court with tasty treats from around the world. There’s even a parade of nations full of flying colors.
