Four million lights? Seriously, four million? We’ve met the guy who invented the icicle light in the early '80s. We’ve seen that special with Mr. Christmas and the lights contest on Food Network. We know about that East Dallas house that hires the live reindeer. We still can’t wrap our heads around four million mother-pluggin’ lights. But that’s whatPrairie Lights
is offering with its 2-mile path of holiday merriment. And they considered what four mil does to an ass, so right in the middle of the (estimated) two-hour drive, you’ll find the Holiday Village so you can stretch your legs and grab some cocoa or an impulse buy while the kids say “cheese” with Santa. For an added fee ($2 to $5) each, there’s the Holiday Dazzle-ation 4D Theater and a Magic Lighted Walk-Thru Forest. When you’re good and ready, drive out through the world’s largest light tunnel. Entry for regular cars and passenger vehicles of up to eight passengers is $20 Mondays through Thursdays and $30 Fridays through Sundays. Limos, shuttle vans and buses are $45 to $80. Prairie Lights is open daily through December 31 and is located at Lynn Creek Park (on Joe Pool Lake), 5700 Lake Ridge Parkway in Grand Prairie. Visit
