Zone Out from Holiday Stress with Klick Tock's ZONR

Welcome to another edition of Geek-Offs, where you'll find the perfect distractions to help you muddle your way through hump day each week.

Are you ready for tomorrow's festivities? Chances are you've already prepared yourself for the barrage of questions from the out-of-towners who want to know why you're not married yet, you have your game face for when you get to be the guinea pig for your aunt's newest incarnation of "cranberry sauce," and surely you already have your escape plan ready for when it just gets to be too much: "I'm so sorry, Nana, there was an explosion at work and I'm the only one on the safety crew who was trained to handle toxins!"

But, if you've resigned yourself to sticking it out for the long haul (bless you), this week's Geek-Off, Klick Tock's ZONR, will provide you with short bursts of distraction to keep you from truly wigging out.

ZONR is as easy (read: addictive) as mobile gaming gets. Each game lasts a mere 90 seconds, during which you're shown multiple images that looks like wonked out Tetris boards, and you progress by selecting the largest zone. There's no winning or losing in ZONR -- while you can earn Game Center achievements and get new board skins (the straight black-and-white board can tweak out your spatial reasoning, FYI), the desire to top your last score is enough to keep you playing for days.

Or at least till the end of Turkey Day.
