Oh, but I would love to know the secrets of the soccer mom. They float onto the playground with their impossibly glossy hair, their North Face gear and their iPhones that chirp at them when it’s time to leave and pick up their other kids from practice. They make it look easy and fun and super-fulfilling, leaving those of us in 18-year-old Joy Division T-shirts and Chucks scratching our heads and realizing that we’re two hours late for an appointment at the pediatrician. But it seems there’s a price to pay for all that perfection and supermom stuff, and that’s the premise of the comedic Secrets of a Soccer Mom. The play at Circle Theatre, 230 W. 4th St. in Fort Worth, follows a group of women who volunteer to play in a moms-versus-sons match and learn some hard lessons about themselves during the course of the contentious game. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and 3 and 8 p.m. Saturdays through February 25. Tickets are $20 to $30 and may be purchased at circletheatre.com.
