You’ve got highbrow in my lowbrow. You’ve got lowbrow in my highbrow. Let’s face it, culture clash makes for two great tastes that taste great together, whether it be a Hot Pocket filled with foie gras or a black velvet painting of the Mona Lisa. That’s the appeal of The 3 Redneck Tenors, anyway. The creation of classically trained musicians Matthew Lord, Alex Bumpas and Steven Sanders, the trio combines opera with Deep South redneckery to great effect. Sporting mullets and unironic facial hair, they take on the roles of Billy Joe, Billy Bob and Billie Billee to present their Christmas SPEC-TAC-YULE-AR arranged by Craig Bohmler. The “singin’ cousins” perform such Christmas classics as “O Holy Night,” “Winter Wonderland” and the all-too-appropriate “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.” The 3 Redneck Tenors will perform at the MCL Grand Theatre, 110 N. Charles St., Lewisville. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday to December 22. Tickets are $25. Visit 3rednecktenors.com for more information.
Mondays-Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Dec. 19. Continues through Dec. 22, 2011
