Stiff Who killed Mickey Blake? That’s exactly what Jeff Swearingen is trying to figure out in his newest play, Stiff. The 2014 Mastermind takes us back to the 1950s, when Broadway was booming, directors were dreaming big, and critics were the almighty and powerful ones who had the ability to bring it all crumbling down. Blake was the mightiest one of all; that is until he turned up dead at the Tin Box Theatre after a performance of the off-off Broadway production of The Blighted Heart. But hey, the show must go one right? Right. So, in steps producer Saul Solomon, writer Robert Grey, and director Stanley Mille, and in true comedic theatre fashion hash out a plan rivaling that of The Three Stooges. They’ve got a dream to live out and one dead body isn’t going to stop them. What happens next, you just have to see for yourself. See it at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fun House Theatre and Film (1301 Custer Rd) or through August 9. Tickets are $8
Fridays, Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Aug. 1. Continues through Aug. 9, 2014
