Lark on the Park's bar director, Jeff Trevino, came up with this take on the traditional New York sour — usually whiskey, sugar and citrus with an egg white and a float of red wine — by adding a cherry-balsamic shrub. Shrubs are fruit drinking-vinegars, used to preserve fresh ingredients back in the day. They can lend a note of complexity to a cocktail.
This bright, slightly acidic cocktail will be available for a bit longer, so stop in and try it before the sun sets on this offering — and the summer.
