Friday night, for a couple of hours at least, the sideshow will be center stage in Texas politics. After months of the Senate race between incumbent Ted Cruz and U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke sucking all the air out of the room, former Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez will get her last, best chance to make an impression in her long-shot bid to take out Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

Tonight, Abbott and Valdez will have their only debate of the 2018 campaign at the LBJ Presidential Library on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. In much the same way as one could before Cruz and O'Rourke's first debate a week ago, it's easy to anticipate many of the talking points that will come up.

Immigration, property taxes and guns will be on the table. As will abortion, President Donald Trump and health care. To help you follow along, and stay awake, the Observer has made up these handy bingo cards to liven up your Friday night. (Obviously, if you're watching a Texas gubernatorial debate live, you could use a little excitement.)
