Look at your calendars, Dallas — we are lucky, lucky bastards this year. We’ve been blessed with the rarest of St. Patrick’s Day parties: the one-two punch of the St. Patrick’s Parade on Greenville Saturday followed immediately by St. Patrick’s Day proper on Sunday. It’s like God himself sanctioned hair-of-the-dog with green dye in it. Perfect. So shake off the haze from Saturday’s festivities and hit the road — it’s still party time, people. Start out at the Warwick Melrose Hotel, 3015 Oak Lawn Ave., for a festive St. Pat’s brunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Load up on green eggs and ham, an Irish eggs Benedict and — of course — Irish-themed cocktails. From there, head to Trinity Hall, 5321 East Mockingbird Lane. They open at 10 a.m. but the celebration gets rowdy around 1 p.m. when the Irish Rogues strike up the band and deliver the best in jigs, sing-alongs and ballads. But pace yourself — you can’t miss the legendary parking lot party at BlackFriar Pub, 2621 McKinney Ave., from noon until 2 a.m. Dig into corned beef and cabbage, suck down Irish car bombs and tolerate that bagpiper in the background — plus Petty Theft rolls out their Tom Petty tribute at 5 p.m. Feel like heading north? McFadden’s, 4050 Beltline Road in Addison, throws down the green gauntlet starting at 10 a.m. with a “kegs and eggs” brunch, followed by shamrock-themed debauchery that includes bagpipers, live music and $2 green beer. If beer with food coloring in it isn’t the green you’re looking for, hit up Forgotten Space: A Greenful Dead Experience St. Patrick’s Day at Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 Industrial St. in Denton. A Grateful Dead tribute band kicks off at 4 p.m. Cover is $8. And if you want to forgo all the green beads and double entendres about getting lucky in favor of hanging with your kids, Dallas Heritage Village, 1515 South Harwood St., offers a St. Patrick’s scavenger hunt as part of its Irish heritage-themed program from noon until 4 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults and admission is free for children.
