Denton’s Thin Line Fest brings quality documentaries, a notable awards program and the Docu-Denton 7K video race to Denton’s historic downtown Campus Theater this month. Now in its seventh year, the festival is adding more than 100 bands to its program, including Sebadoh and the local Mexican-American rapper Snow Tha Product. The five days of the festival include day and evening film screenings followed by a full roster at one of five participating venues and the Thin Line Tent venue, an 8,200-square-foot heated tent located one block east of the Square. Local and regional bands are a mix of punk, jazz, metal, folk, hip-hop, bluegrass, indie rock, blues, Americana, world and experimental. The festival boasts its largest international selection yet with films on a huge variety of subjects from fallen soldiers to toxic waste, from Coney Island to Rwanda. The festival kicks off Thursday with a full roster of music and film and continues through Sunday. Tickets and passes range $15 to $150. Visit thinline.us for more info.
